On a rainy day in June


Trevor met me at the ticket booth to the historical Castle in the Clouds in Moultonborough, NH. We boarded the shuttle, cruised up the winding road, and were met with breathtaking views of the blue hued mountains, almost floating in the misty rain clouds. While we found our spot, Kristen was blissfully unaware and enjoying a scenic train ride with her best friend.

As the time of her arrival approached, the rain continued to sprinkle down and we decided to stay under the pergola. Although it wasn't the first plan, we remained optimistic because no matter the weather, he was going to ask the love of his life to marry him. What made this proposal even more special was the fact that the ring was her Grandmother's- passed on to Trevor from Kristen's aunt.

side note: I did find it sweet and a little funny that one birdy told another about the plans and quietly spread the news to others- so we unknowingly gathered a small audience spying behind the windows of the castle! As soon as she said yes, you could hear the muffled cheers of the onlookers- I think everyone craves to witness a moment so fleeting and full of excited, young love. And it truly was so beautiful to witness! Congratulations Trevor and Kristen!
