The Ence Family


Today, I am so excited to share the Ence family's summer family session at Crescent Beach, Maine.

When the Stephanie reached out, she wanted a beach setting to capture their sweet family while the kids are little. This little beach tucked away in southern Maine was the absolute perfect choice because of the grassy dunes and dreamy sunsets reflected on the sand.

We started the evening right around sunset to catch that dreamy, soft sun before it dipped below the tree line.




A Few Favorites from the Gallery

Here are just a few of the highlights from our evening together- although from the photos you would never know about the big toddler feelings we were having. I wanted mom and dad to know that having a toddler myself, I know how it is and it is completely natural for kids to not be ready to be friends with me ( a stranger!) We pivoted to starting with photos with baby and after attempting my best dinosaur roars and chasing them, we got some laughs in. It's so important to consider every family member's feelings- especially the little ones- when capturing a portrait session. That's why my family sessions are never under 30 min, because we need wiggle room to get comfortable and let personalities shine.
